It’s iPhone leaks season again, with Apple expected to unveil three new phones in September: the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and a new foldable iPhone, rumored to be called the iPhone Ultra. One of the most important questions for buyers will be, what colors will Apple release this time?
New Colors for the iPhone 18 Pro
Macworld has received information from a source familiar with Apple’s supply chain regarding the color options for the iPhone 18 lineup. The new signature color for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to be Dark Cherry, a hue that’s closer to wine than fruit punch.
Dark Cherry won’t be as bright and striking as Cosmic Orange, but it will still be unique enough to distinguish it as the new iPhone 18 Pro. Apple is also experimenting with two other new color options: Light Blue, which would resemble the current Mist Blue color of the base iPhone 17, and a dark shade of gray.
A silver variant of the iPhone 18 Pro is also in development, similar to the current generation. However, since the iPhone 18 Pro hasn’t gone into mass production yet, Apple still has time to change the colors.

Design Changes
Macworld’s sources also had access to the CAD drawings of the new iPhones, which show a very familiar design with minor changes. The most notable change is a smaller Dynamic Island on the screen, which will give the display more screen space for content when the Dynamic Island isn’t showing Live Activities.
Another change noted by the source is a smaller gap between the glass cutout on the back and the camera bump, although it’s unclear if this is an old render or a design change that Apple is moving forward with.
Foldable iPhone Colors
The rumored foldable iPhone may feature two rear cameras, a selfie camera on the outer display, and another selfie camera in the upper-left corner of the inner display.
According to the source, the foldable iPhone is expected to come in classic silver and white.

The iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and the foldable iPhone are all expected to launch in September, with the foldable model hitting stores at a later date.
According to the report, the colors for the iPhone 18 Pro are still in development, but the source notes that the Pantone color codes being used internally by Apple are 19-4028 for Dark Cherry and 14-4811 for Light Blue. These codes were used to generate the image of the new iPhone 18 Pro colors.
The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will likely be available for pre-order in September, with the exact release date to be confirmed by Apple. As with previous iPhone releases, the new models are expected to be in high demand, with many customers eagerly awaiting the opportunity to get their hands on the latest devices.
