Compugen has been named HPE Canada Partner of the Year, a distinction the company’s chief revenue officer attributes to a focus on delivering measurable business results for clients rather than simply selling hardware. Jeremy Erlick, the CRO of the Richmond Hills, Ontario-based firm, which ranks No. 68 on the 2026 CRN Solution Provider 500, said the award reflects a long-term strategy of aligning technology with customer goals.
Erlick said the firm’s success is built on the team’s ability to understand how to use HPE’s technology to solve specific business problems. “In the end we are what’s between the technology and what the customer wants to achieve with it,” he said. “It’s people that make that work.” The company has achieved the highest HPE partner tier, Triple Platinum Plus, after more than four decades in the business. Erlick noted that the firm continues to see strong demand for HPE solutions across data modernization, AI-ready infrastructure, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud.

Erlick said the company works to map specific HPE technology to the outcomes customers want, whether that means improving speed and agility or strengthening security. “Companies aren’t buying infrastructure for infrastructure’s sake,” he said. “They are looking to support new AI initiatives. They are looking to reduce their costs.” The approach relies heavily on the human element of the partnership, with Erlick emphasizing that Compugen acts as a “technology ally” that sits at the table with clients to help them achieve their objectives.
This operational discipline allows Compugen to integrate HPE’s infrastructure with cloud, security, and managed services to create complete solutions for customers. Erlick noted that the partnership’s strength is reflected in its executive alignment and field engagement, with presales and solution engineering teams working together to deliver value.

Compugen has also deepened its expertise in networking through a significant investment in the Juniper Networks portfolio. The company is a five-time winner of the Aruba Networking Partner of the Year award and is now applying that experience to Juniper products. Erlick described the move as a strategic addition that complements the company’s existing HPE offerings. “It’s a great adjacency and addition to where HPE can deliver value,” he said.
Erlick credited the company’s longevity to the philosophy of its founder and CEO, Harry Zarek. “You pick your strategic partnerships and you invest in them so you can do great things for customers with this great technology,” Erlick said. The relationship has allowed Compugen to move from strategy to execution for clients, a process that relies on the trust built over years of collaboration.
